Let's Talk About Finergy...
I'm very excited to share the first Finergy blog post with you. Today we are going to talk about what is Finergy and what you can look forward to on the blog. So, first things first, what is Finergy Inc.? Finergy is a local company based out of Fishkill NY, in the heart of the Hudson Valley. Finergy provides financial support to local businesses. Our primary function is bookkeeping, but we also provide more complex analysis. Our goal is to help you the owner/manager understand and manage your financials, so that you can do what you do best, run your business.
Finergy was founded by me, Jessica Beim. I grew up in the Hudson Valley and love the region. I attended both Dutchess Community College and Marist College, graduating with a BS in Finance. In addition to my finance degree I am a Certified Bookkeeper by The American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers and a Quickbooks Proadvisor. During my college years, I got my first taste of the financial world, when I took a job at a local credit union. From day one, I knew I found the right field. After college, I took a job at a fortune 500 company as a financial analyst and spent over eight years working my way up the financial analyst ladder. After spending over ten years working in the financial sector, I decided it was time to break out on my own.
It is our philosophy that finance is the heart of the organization. To stay alive, you need to keep your finances flowing smoothly through all parts of the organization. It is so important to keep up on your books and understand your profit and loss as well as your accounts receivable and accounts payable. You want to make sure your clients are billed accurately and timely to ensure you have the cash flow you need to pay your bills and your employees. There are many reasons why you may need a Bookkeeper; for some people finance and accounting are a foreign language, some find that numbers may induce headache and some people simply run out of time. Whatever the reason is, there is no need to let yourself get frustrated, overwhelmed or behind. Together we can customize services and a schedule that allows you not only to survive but thrive as a business owner.
Finergy’s blog will be a place where we can get together and talk about finance, the economy and issues effecting small business. I want to provide you information that is easy to understand, useful and even as hard as it might seem, enjoyable. I look forward to getting to know you and working with the community.
